Moms' Lifesavers

I recently had the opportunity to read an amazing book called "Moms' Lifesavers, Tips to make Life Easier for New Mothers", by Christine Cohen and Joanne Tocci.

This is a wonderful resource for new moms or a refresher course for other moms.

Moms' Lifesavers starts with the basics before the baby arrives, and leads you through breastfeeding, preschool and beyond. I love the money saving tips and recipes for fun. Truly inventive! These two moms have done their homework, and it shows.

My personal favorite, is the milestone section. They have included a place for date and comments, from birth to age five. I am sure all moms want to complete a baby book with all the milestones, but that takes a lot of effort and TIME. Moms' Lifesavers has the perfect place to write about all those milestones and more. Everything right at your fingertips.

It is an indispensable guide you'll reach for every time!

Public Breastfeeding

It seems crazy that a bill needs to pass in order for a woman to feed her baby in public. Does anybody else feel this is crazy?

Leader of state Senate wants breastfeeding allowed in public

The new president of the Wisconsin Senate wants all counties to do what Dane County just did –- let mothers breastfeed in all public places.

Sen. Fred Risser, D-Madison, says he’ll introduce a bill to that effect. That’s after the county board in Madison OK’d it last week.

Risser tried to pass a similar mandate last session after a woman said she was told to go a restroom to breastfeed her baby in a shopping mall. But the session ended before Risser’s bill got a hearing.

Back then, critics called it a government solution to a problem that didn’t exist. Outside of that one complaint, Risser admits there’s not a groundswell from nursing mothers to allow public breastfeeding. He says a law would protect those mothers should they ever need it.

With Risser’s party now in charge of the Senate, he figures it will have no trouble passing now.

Welcome to Our Blog

This is my first post. I started this blog to help bring awareness about new products for new moms. My hope is to post very informative news for all new moms or moms-to-be.

I started my website right after I had my first child. I found breastfeeding awkward, but I really wanted to succeed. When I look around for support products, there wasn't much. So I created "Simplymilk - Breastfeeding Care Kit." It has everything you need to get started on the right foot.

I have slowly added more products that make moms life easier. What could be better?

So that is my story.
